We wanted to dedicate the Nativity scene that we presented this year at the exhibition Murano Glass Christmas 2017 to all people who helped after the earthquake that hit central Italy.
The message we want to convey is to be aware of even the small gestures of people around us, because they are often the ones we pay less attention to, but which show that a little angel can be hidden inside anyone.
Mary and Joseph.
Baby Jesus is rescued.
The ox and the donkey are represented by a bunny and a dog, both saved from the rubble. Be because every life saved brings joy, even that of our little friends.
The wise men are represented by the Italian people (the Italian flag), who donated basic necessities and more, from all over the country. Gold, frankincense and myrrh, in this case, are clothes, food, medicine, toys etc.
Some pictures of our work:
Our Nativity scenes and many more will be on display at the Scalz Church near the Santa Lucia train station in Venice from 17 December 2016 to 18 January 2017.
The entrance fee is the donation of 1 euro that will go to the Parish for the restoration and maintenance of the church.
If you do not have chance to go, but are still interested to have a look at the exhibition, here's the link with photos!
